Cleaning campaigns underway in Kolonnawa to curb Dengue

26/06/2012, Colombo, Sri Lanka – The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society’s (SLRCS) Colombo branch organized a cleaning campaign to curb dengue in the Sedawatta & Dahampura GN divisions in the Kolonnawa Divisional Secretariat within the Colombo district. This initiative was supported by the Red Cross “Integrated programme for Community Resilience” .

These cleanings campaigns took place in mostly shanty areas within the divisional secretariats. This was as part of the SLRCS Dengue awareness programme.

Several volunteers of the branch participated along with the residents in the area.
