Enhancing the knowledge of First Aid islandwide

22/04/2016 – Kandy, Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka Red Cross Society pioneers in First Aid in Sri Lanka continues to enhance the quality and knowledge of First Aid across the island.

Accordingly a First Aid Instructor Refresher Training Course for 2016 began at the Rural Development Training & Research Institute (RDTRI), Pilimatalawa, in Kandy yesterday (21stApril 2016).

70 First Aid instructors from all over the island representing Red Cross branches are participating this refresher program which will continue for four days.

The training is to give an extensive update on First Aid to carry out trainings and services to the vulnerable people in Sri Lanka effectively. This will also be a platform to share their experiences and competencies among the participants to learn from each other.

The program was inaugurated by Mr. Ajith Jayaratne, Hony.Chairman of SLRCS Kandy Branch with the participation of Sudath Madugalle, Deputy Director General.

Course is facilitated by the group of government and SLRCS medical doctors and First Aid trainer trainers.
