Fighting dengue to eradicate this menace from society

20/04/2018 – Colombo, Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka Red Cross Society joined hands with Kegalle RDHS Office to create a ” Dengue Free Kegalle ” under Dengue Prevention Programme.
During February 2018, there was a discussion at Kegalle regarding this matter and as a result of it some items were needed to enhance the Dengue Prevention Programme in Kegalle.
As a result of it, items worth of Rs 2.5 million were handed over to RDHS office by Sri Lanka Red Cross Society.
President of Sri Lanka Red Cross Society Jagath Abeysinghe, the GA of the Kegalle District Chandrasiri Bandara, RDHS of Kegalle Dr. Vijith Gunasekara, ASP of Kegalle Nimal Dharmasiri, the Assistant Director of DMC Jagath Mahendran and the Deputy Director General of Sri Lanka Red Cross Sudath Madugalle were also present during the handing over ceremony.
