Coca Cola Sri Lanka

Coca Cola Sri Lanka has been partnering with Sri Lanka Red Cross Society since the 2016 floods and landslide in various parts of the island. Initially soon after the floods, Coca – Cola funded well cleaning activities in the Biyagama area. Here they managed to assist in cleaning 219 wells which allows residents in the area to have access to safe drinking water.

These cleaning activities include the pressure pump of unhygienic water from the well, removing of dirt and debris from the walls of the well, chlorinating and clinically safeguarding the water of the well and making it hygienic, certification of cleanliness through a Government Authority and finally ensuring the parameter of the well is safeguarded.

Total contribution for this activity by Coca Cola is LKR 500,000.
