»  Project for the rehabilitation of livelihoods of FRP boat owners and laborers in Batticaloa District - LKR 21,385,890

Goal: To restore and develop the livelihood of 240 families in Vaharai.
Objectives: 65 people, who lost their fishing livelihood due to tsunami, are provided with boats, motors, and fishing and safety equipments and provide employment for others. 22 additional people who lost engine only receive replacement. Capacity of the Batticaloa branch to plan, implement and monitor projects has enhanced.

»  Pilot Project in the rehabilitation of beach seine Industry in Batticaloa District - LKR 10,871,313

Goal: To rehabilitate the income generating potential of tsunami-affected individuals who worked on or owned beach seine craft prior to tsunami
Objectives: 31 people who lost beach seine boats and associated equipment replacement boats, nets and safety equipments
