Mobitel Partners with Sri Lank Red Cross Society as the Official Telecommunications Partner
Colombo, Sri Lanka; The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society and the National Mobile Service provider Mobitel signed an MoU in Colombo yesterday (30th May). As per the MoU, Mobitel will be the Official Telecommunication Partner for the SLRCS.
As per the signed MoU, Mobitel will provide the SLRCS a mobile donation platform (subscription based/on demand) and will support the SLRCS Disaster Response Teams to provide a better service in disaster stricken areas. The Mobitel with the partnership of the SLRCS is to implement special communication programmes and services in our shelter and community building projects as well.

Latest Technology assistance will be also provided to our Disaster Management Operations Rooms and commanding/communication centres. Mobitel’s technology will be an ideal bridge to Red Cross to connect with disaster victims in order to provide relief and rescue in times of natural disasters.
