The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society, in collaboration with Michelin Sri Lanka and the Sri Lanka Police, has initiated a First Aid Training Programme for three-wheeler drivers in the Gampaha District.

Road traffic accidents remain one of the leading causes of injuries and fatalities in Sri Lanka, leaving families and communities deeply affected. Immediate and effective first aid can make the difference between life and death in such emergencies.

Through this initiative, three-wheeler drivers will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to respond quickly and effectively. Participants will also receive certificates, vehicle stickers, and first aid kits, ensuring they are prepared to provide critical assistance whenever needed.

This programme is a vital step in promoting road safety and community resilience, helping to reduce the human cost of road accidents across Sri Lanka.
