Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Matale Branch Promotes First Aid and Environmental Protection at “Mini World’s End” for World First Aid Day

The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Matale Branch commemorated World First Aid Day under the global theme “First Aid and Climate Change.”

To mark the occasion, the branch organized a cleanup and First Aid awareness campaign at the scenic Hulangala Mountain, popularly known as the “Mini World’s End.”

As the site attracts numerous tourists and local nature enthusiasts, the cleanup initiative played a vital role in preserving its natural beauty and promoting environmental responsibility. In addition, a First Aid awareness session was conducted for visitors and estate workers in Salagama, empowering them with essential lifesaving skills to effectively respond to emergencies.

Through this initiative, the SLRCS Matale Branch highlighted the importance of First Aid in the face of climate-related risks, while reaffirming its continued commitment to community safety and environmental sustainability.
