Sri Lanka Red Cross Society, with the support of Hong Kong Red Cross, Distributes School Packs to Support Children Affected by Cyclonic Storm Ditwah

With the support of the Disaster Relief Fund of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Red Cross, the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society distributes a total of 16,500 school packs across 13 districts to support children affected by Cyclonic Storm Ditwah.

These school packs, containing essential learning materials, are aimed at helping children return to education with confidence following the disaster. The initiative seeks to ease the financial burden on affected families while ensuring that children can continue their learning journey with dignity, stability, and renewed hope.

This intervention forms part of ongoing recovery efforts to restore normalcy in the lives of children and strengthen community resilience in the aftermath of the cyclone.
