In response to the current dengue situation in Sri Lanka, the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society, under the IFRC sEAP for Dengue initiative, continues to strengthen community-based prevention and preparedness efforts in high-risk areas.

As part of these ongoing efforts, the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Colombo Branch, together with Red Cross volunteers, conducted Dengue Prevention Cleanup Campaigns in high-risk areas, working alongside communities to identify and eliminate potential mosquito breeding sites while promoting safer and healthier environments.

Through the sEAP Dengue Project, the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society continues to strengthen community awareness, early action, and local preparedness to reduce dengue risks and protect vulnerable communities.
The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society remains committed to standing with communities – supporting, responding, and working together towards a healthier and safer tomorrow.
