Restoring Essential Infrastructure in Communities Affected by Cyclone Ditwah
The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS), in partnership with the China Merchants Foundation (CMF), is supporting the restoration of public infrastructure in communities affected by Cyclone Ditwah, helping communities recover and rebuild safer environments.
At CP/HK/Denike Secondary School in Hanguranketha, the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Nuwara Eliya Branch is carrying out restoration work to improve essential school facilities affected by the cyclone.
The work is focused on creating safer and more functional spaces for students and teachers, allowing learning activities to continue in a more suitable environment.
Through this support, SLRCS is contributing to the recovery of essential community infrastructure while helping schools and communities affected by Cyclone Ditwah move towards recovery and greater resilience.
