“Safer culture to the next generation” – MoU signed with Toyota & SLRCS Gampaha Branch

30/06/2014 – Gampaha, Sri Lanka: On 20th of June 2014, Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Gampaha Branch together with Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, Wattala signed a memorandum of understanding on “safer culture to next generation” to support several programmes including Road safety First Aid, Health and Hygiene practice and Dengue prevention as an integrated programme.

“Prevention and minimize accident risk to safer life through creating awareness programmes for school children”, said Mr. Anton Victoria, Chairman of the Gampaha Branch. He further said that “Making use of the effectiveness of it for a valuable humanitarian mission to protect and build Safety consciousness among the young and new generation of our country”

Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd selected 40 numbers of schools across the Gampaha District and Colombo District benefits for the programme. Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, providing logistic Support for the road safety units and First Aid units buffering with 2 Million Rupees for 40 Schools consist of 3 to 6 month programme.

20th of June 2014, MOU was signed between Mr. Shungo Yoshioka, Managing Director – Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, and Mr. Anton Victoria, Hon. Chairman Sri Lanka Red Cross Society, along with Toyota and Red Cross representatives  at Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd – Wattala.

Mr. Mohan Athukorala CEO Toyota and Mr. Ruwan Abeywardana – Branch Executive Officer Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Gampaha Branch, were present at the occasion.
