(22-07-2013 – Nuwara-Eliya) Sri Lanka Red Cross Society Nuwara- Eliya Branch Organized an awareness of Good Governance Program on the 22nd of July in PMD Hall Maskeliya. This program was organized to give an broad understanding on rules and procedures, policies and guides, strategic plans, Five Year Development Plan and on the way forward document.

24/09/2012 – The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society’s (SLRCS) Nuwara Eliya branch was recently awarded the Admiration Award from the Divisional Secretariat of Kothmale for the appreciation of service towards the humanitarian sector in the region. 23/08/2012: A fire broke out on the 22nd August 2012 at Mahanilu Estate Upcot, Maskeliya. 14 houses were completely destroyed from the fire that was a result of a faulty power line. 15 families including 43 people were affected by the fire.
