31/08/2013 – Colombo, Sri Lanka: The Branch Disaster Response Team of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society’s Colombo branch was deployed on the 31st of August when an accidental fire left 37 families homeless, in the Gemunupura temporary block (GN Division: Samanthranapura) Mattakuliya. The area of Gemunupura is highly populated as people have built houses

NUTRITION EDUCATION PROGRAMME

16/08/2013 – The Sri Lanka Red Cross (SLRCS) Kurunegala Branch moved to a new building under the auspices of the President of SLRCS Jagath Abeysinghe  today. The new building consists of 3 story’s, with all necessary facilities. The building was funded by  the German Red Cross, Sri Lanka Red Cross Society and the Kurunegala branch itself.
