Renovated Health Centres Strengthen Healthcare Services in Batticaloa

The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society, in partnership with UNFPA Sri Lanka and with funding support from the Government of Japan, has successfully renovated and handed over three Gramodaya Health Centres (GHCs) in Mahiloor, Thalawai, and Pavakodichenai, Batticaloa.

These upgraded facilities now provide enhanced maternal, neonatal, and general healthcare services, significantly improving access to quality care for the local communities.

With modernized infrastructure and better-equipped medical services, the renovated centers are set to play a vital role in strengthening healthcare delivery in the region.
