Together, we’re sowing seeds of sustainable development!

Sri Lanka Red Cross Society with the support of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies distributed 75,000 rupees each to 500 families in Homagama and Padukka as part of our agricultural livelihood development project. We touched the lives of 600 families with a ’45 million rupees’ initiative.This time we are contributing beyond funds by providing free technical and financial knowledge to support community businesses.

Joining us at Kottawa Dharmapala Vidyalaya Auditorium to grace the occasion was the Chief of Staff to the President of Sri Lanka and the National Security Advisor; Mr. Sagala Ratnayake and the Senior Vice President of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society; Mr. Jagath Abeysinghe along with other officials of the organisation and the government of Sri Lanka. Mr. Ratnayake emphasized the impact on strengthening the nation’s economy while enhancing the living conditions of the beneficiaries.  “Let’s make 2024 economically strong together!”, he said.
