Sri Lanka Red Cross Society Honoured with the Distinguished Friend of Singapore Red Cross Award

The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS) was honoured with the prestigious Distinguished Friend of Singapore Red Cross Award at the Singapore Red Cross Awards Ceremony held in Singapore on 22 September 2026.

The award was presented by H.E. Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of the Republic of Singapore and Patron of the Singapore Red Cross, and was received on behalf of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society by Mr. Jagath Abeysinghe, Senior Vice President of Sri Lanka Red Cross society.

This distinguished recognition reflects the long-standing partnership, mutual support and humanitarian cooperation between the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society and the Singapore Red Cross, and their shared commitment to serving vulnerable communities and advancing humanitarian action.
