The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS) Kegalle Branch, in collaboration with the Rabukkana Medical Officer of Health (MOH) office, conducted a dengue awareness campaign, school premises cleaning programme and garbage bin distribution at Sujatha Vidyalaya, Rabukkana.

Amid prevailing weather conditions that increase the risk of dengue transmission, the initiative aimed to raise awareness among students about dengue prevention while promoting a cleaner and safer school environment. The school cleaning programme focused on reducing potential mosquito breeding sites, while the distribution of garbage bins encouraged proper waste disposal and better hygiene practices.

Through this collaborative effort, the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society continues to work alongside health authorities and local communities to strengthen dengue prevention, promote community health and protect lives.
