The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS), with the support of the Disaster Relief Emergency Fund (DREF) of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), continued its cash assistance to migrants affected by the Cyclone Ditwah floods.

As part of the second round of the cash grant programme, unconditional cash grants of LKR 27,000 were provided to flood-affected migrants currently residing in the Gampaha District, in collaboration with the National Fisheries Solidarity Movement (NAFSO).

This assistance provides affected migrants with flexible financial support to address their immediate needs and support their recovery following the floods. The programme reflects the continued efforts of SLRCS and its partners to ensure that vulnerable communities receive timely and appropriate humanitarian assistance.

The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society remains committed to providing inclusive humanitarian assistance to communities affected by disasters, ensuring that no one is left behind.
