Sri Lanka Red Cross Society Supports Flood-Affected Migrants with Cash Grants
The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS), with the support of the Disaster Relief Emergency Fund (DREF) of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), successfully carried out a cash grant distribution program to assist migrants impacted by the recent Inter-monsoon floods.
In collaboration with the National Fisheries Solidarity Movement (NAFSO), SLRCS provided unconditional cash grants to 180 flood-affected migrants currently residing in the Gampaha District. This initiative aimed to help them rebuild their lives and meet urgent needs during this challenging period.
SLRCS remains dedicated to providing humanitarian assistance to vulnerable communities across Sri Lanka, ensuring that no one is left behind.
