TV and YouTube Program Production and Broadcasting
Project Title: Managing Together – Integrating Community-Centred, Ecosystem-Based Approaches into Forestry, Agriculture, and Tourism Sectors
- Background
The “Managing Together” project, implemented in the Malwathu Oya River Basin, Sri Lanka, aims to integrate community-centred, ecosystem-based approaches into forestry, agriculture, and tourism sectors to enhance biodiversity conservation and climate resilience. As part of its communication and outreach strategy, the project seeks to engage the public and key stakeholders through the production and broadcast of a high-quality TV and YouTube program. This multimedia initiative will highlight project goals, field activities, community participation, and success stories to raise awareness and support for sustainable practices.
- Objective
To engage a qualified and experienced media production and broadcasting service provider to:
- Develop and produce a compelling TV and YouTube program aligned with the project’s themes.
- Educate the public on biodiversity conservation and sustainable ecosystem-based practices.
- Showcase field interventions, community engagement, and project achievements.
- Broadcast the program on national television and distribute widely through digital platforms.
- Scope of Work
The selected service provider will be responsible for:
- Concept Development: Creating a creative concept and detailed script in consultation with the project team.
- Production: Producing a series of 6 to 10 episodes, each with a runtime of 20–30 minutes.
- On-site Filming: Capturing footage in project sites across the Malwathu Oya River Basin.
- Post-Production: Editing and finalizing content with professional quality, including subtitles in Sinhala, Tamil, and English.
- Broadcasting: Airing the program on a widely viewed national television channel.
- Digital Distribution: Publishing the series on YouTube and promoting it via social media.
- Promotion: Supporting digital outreach and engagement with viewers.
- Deliverables
- Creative concept notes, production plan, and timeline.
- Approved scripts and visual storyboards for each episode.
- Professionally produced, high-definition episodes with multilingual subtitles.
- TV broadcast schedule and airing confirmation.
- Uploaded episodes on YouTube with viewer analytics and engagement reports.
- Final report summarizing program reach, feedback, and lessons learned.
- Duration
The assignment will be implemented from the date of contract signing until 30 June 2026, with ongoing production, broadcasting, and promotion throughout the project period.
- Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in multimedia production for TV and digital platforms.
- Proven track record in producing educational or environmental content.
- Ability to conduct field filming in multiple rural and remote locations.
- Technical capacity for post-production editing, sound, and subtitling in three languages.
- Strong coordination skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
