Officer – Livelihood 01 Position
Based in National Headquarters in Colombo
HRM 005/2025

· A bachelor’s degree either in Social Science, Development Studies, Agriculture, Rural Development, Economics, Project Management or related discipline from a recognized institution.
with
· Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably in livelihood programming, community development, or humanitarian/development projects.
Or
· Diploma with five (5) years of experience in a similar capacity
· Additional certifications in livelihood development, cash-based assistance, disaster risk reduction, or project management will be an added advantage.

· Livelihoods expertise with the ability to manage and coordinate livelihoods development activities and community-based livelihood support programs, with strong community engagement
· Advanced capabilities in project designing/planning, project implementation, monitoring, and evaluation and reporting.
· Proven skills in budget administration and human resources, logistics, and assets management.
· Good in external and internal coordination relevant to project implementation.
· Excellent public relations, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
· Strong language skills in written and verbal communication skills for reporting, advocacy, and public awareness in English and Sinhala/ Tamil.
· Proficiency in MS Office Applications. |

General Requirements
- Sound understanding of humanitarian, community and volunteer-based service interventions.
- Should be a quick learner with the ability of adhering to SLRCS management guidelines and procedures.
- Should be a team player who is self-motivated and with the ability of working under challenging circumstances.
- Abide by and work according to Red Cross and Red Crescent Fundamental Principles.
The SLRCS conducts its general administrative and operational affairs in English Language. The appointment will be on a fixed term contract basis. Only short-listed applicants will be called for interviews.
