Sri Lanka Red Cross Society Strengthens Community-Based Dengue Prevention Efforts
With dengue cases continuing to rise across Sri Lanka, the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS), under the IFRC sEAP Project, is strengthening community-based dengue prevention, surveillance, and preparedness initiatives in high-risk areas. As part of these ongoing efforts, the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Gampaha Branch conducted a dengue prevention awareness programme and school clean-up campaign at Newstead Girls College, Negombo, bringing together Red Cross volunteers, Junior Red Cross members, and youth volunteers.
