SLRCS Kilinochchi Branch Enhances Volunteer Capacity in Psycho-social Support
The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Kilinochchi Branch successfully conducted a Psychosocial Support (PSS) Training programme for volunteers.
The training aimed to strengthen the knowledge and skills of volunteers in delivering essential psychosocial support to individuals and communities affected by disasters and other challenging situations. Participants were equipped with key competencies in mental health awareness, emotional support, child protection, and promoting overall community well-being.
Through this initiative, volunteers enhanced their capacity to respond effectively and compassionately during humanitarian interventions. The programme underscores the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society’s continued commitment to empowering its volunteers to serve as a vital source of strength and support for vulnerable communities.
