Shangri-La Supports Sri Lanka Red Cross Society in Cyclone Ditwah Relief Efforts

In the wake of Cyclone Ditwah, Shangri-La Group has extended generous financial support to the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS) to strengthen national relief efforts and assist communities most affected by the disaster.

The contribution will be utilized for critical, life-saving interventions in severely impacted areas. This includes the conduct of mobile medical camps, ensuring vulnerable populations receive timely and accessible healthcare. Recognizing the urgent need for safe drinking water, the support will also aid in restoring natural water sources, such as wells and springs, helping communities regain access to clean and reliable water.

In addition, part of the funding will be directed toward psychosocial support programmes for children residing in temporary shelters, providing care, comfort, and emotional reassurance during this challenging period.

Through this partnership, SLRCS continues its mission to provide timely and effective humanitarian assistance, helping communities recover and rebuild in the aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah.
